Are your products tested?

Testing varies by product and component, but may include food-contact migration testing, BPA testing, migration of certain elements, mechanical safety testing and material safety checks where relevant.
What materials do you use?
Our range focuses on 304 food-grade stainless steel, with BPA & phthalate-free silicone and BPA & phthalate-free plastic components.
We use stainless steel as the main material across our range because it is durable, reusable, easy to clean and a practical alternative to plastic-heavy feeding products.
Some food storage products contain glass lids and silicone seals. Please check each product’s Specs section for exact material details.
What grade stainless steel do you use?
Our products are made from premium 304-grade stainless steel, which is durable, corrosion-resistant, easy to clean and resistant to lingering smells and stains, with the exemption of our toddler drink bottle which is made using premium 316L stainless steel for enhanced corrosion resistance.
Why do some products include silicone?
Silicone helps make stainless steel more practical for babies, toddlers and everyday family use.
Depending on the product, silicone may add suction, grip, cushioning, flexible lids, straw parts, bottle teats or seals. This helps keep the product functional while still supporting a plastic-light design.
Do your stainless steel products have paint or powder coating?
Our stainless steel bodies are free from paint or powder coating that can wear away over time.
This keeps the finish simple, durable and easy to clean for everyday family use.
Are your products easy to clean?
Yes. Our products are designed with everyday cleaning in mind.
Many pieces feature simple designs, smooth stainless steel surfaces and fewer hard-to-reach areas. Where possible, we avoid overly complicated parts so daily washing feels easier.
Please check each product's Care note for specific cleaning guidance.
Are your products dishwasher safe?
Yes. All Little Steelware products are dishwasher safe.
For our baby bottle and toddler drink bottle, we recommend hand washing where possible to allow for more thorough cleaning of the smaller components and to help preserve the finish and extend the life of the product.
Please check each product's Care note for specific cleaning guidance.
Are your products microwave safe?
Most stainless steel products are not microwave safe.
The exception is our Microwave-Friendly Stainless Steel Food Container with Glass Lid, which is designed for reheating according to the included care instructions.
Always open the silicone vent before reheating and do not use in oven, grill or convection modes.
Can I warm milk in the Stainless Steel Baby Bottle?
Do not microwave the Stainless Steel Baby Bottle.
To warm milk, heat the milk separately and pour it into the bottle, or place the bottle in warm water/a suitable bottle warmer according to the warmer’s instructions. Always shake or swirl gently and check the milk temperature before feeding.
Can I microwave the baby bottle, toddler bottle, plates or lunch boxes?
No. Do not microwave baby bottles, toddler drink bottles, plates, bowls, lunch boxes, cutlery, straws or chopping boards unless the product is specifically labelled microwave-friendly.
What teat flow should I choose for the baby bottle?
Our silicone teats are available in three flow options:
0–3 months: Slow Flow
3–6 months: Medium Flow
6+ months: Fast Flow
Age guidance is general only. Every baby feeds differently, so choose the flow that best suits your baby’s feeding stage and comfort.
What does the anti-colic vent do?
Our BPA & phthalate-free silicone teat features a built-in vent designed to help air flow back into the bottle during feeding. This helps balance pressure inside the bottle, supporting a smoother milk flow and helping reduce vacuum build-up.
What shape is the teat?
Our teat has a wide-neck, breast-like shape designed to feel familiar for little mouths and support a comfortable latch during bottle feeding.
Are the baby bottle teats interchangeable?
Yes. Our replacement silicone teats were specifically manufactured for the Little Steelware Stainless Steel Baby Bottle, so they are designed to fit and function with our bottle system.
Choose from slow, medium or fast flow options as your baby grows.
What safety guidance should I follow for baby and toddler products?
Baby and toddler products should always be used under adult supervision.
Always check that products are correctly assembled before use, inspect removable parts regularly, and discontinue use at the first sign of damage, weakness or wear.
For baby bottles, always check that the teat, collar and lid are securely fitted before feeding. Never prop a bottle or use it for hands-free feeding.
Are your drink bottles leak-proof?
Our drink bottles are designed for everyday use with secure lids to help reduce leaks during normal carrying and use.
For best results, make sure the lid is closed properly and keep bottles upright where possible, especially when packed in bags.
Do silicone lids make containers airtight?
Our silicone lids and seals are designed to help keep food fresh and contained for everyday storage and lunch packing.
For best results, close lids securely and keep containers upright when packing liquids, sauces or very wet foods.
Are the products suitable for daycare or school?
Many of our products are practical for daycare, preschool, school lunches and outings.
Please check the product size, capacity and care details to make sure the item suits your child’s needs and your centre’s requirements.
